Our ranches are located in Rio Blanco County,
Colorado approximately 8 miles northwest of Meeker along either side of County
Road 7 (Strawberry Creek Road). See our locator map for

TheGolden
Derrick Ranch has 1255 deeded acres, borders a 30,000 acre BLM
wilderness study area in Game Unit 11 (west of County Road 7). The elevation varies from 6300 feet at the road
to 8500 feet at the top of BLM land which has no public access. The ranch has
several private roads for access to the hunting grounds or killed game, 11 water
ponds, and Strawberry Creek, which flows year round. The land is mostly rocky, clayish, andcovered with sage brush and
juniper. Approximately 400 acres is planted with winter wheat and alfalfa,
an important food source for elk and deer. There are two rustic log cabins, which combined can
accommodate up to 10 people at one time. The cabins include thermostatically
controlled electric baseboard heaters, refrigerators, and bunk beds with linens and pillows.
Each cabin is also furnished with pots and pans, utensils, dishes, electric
burners and a coffee maker. There is a modern heated shower house with two
toilets, showers, and sinks with hot and cold running water. Our lodge has dining, recreation and television for
your convenience. There is a game pole, covered parking for your
ATV's, and a corral for horses. We have two full RV hookups and
electric only for two more campers.
The Monument Ranch, also in
Game Unit 11 offers 3,000 more deeded acres and adjoins the Golden Derrick
Ranch. This ranch has primitive cabins on the edge of the BLM wilderness.
The Lilly of the Valley Ranch
has 3600 deeded acres and it is in Game Unit 211 just across from the Golden Derrick
Ranch on the east side of County Road 7. The elevation varies from 6300 feet to almost 9000 feet. The
ranch has numerous dirt roads for access. It also has numerous ponds, some that are spring fed and stocked withrainbow and cutthroat trout. The land is rocky, clayish and covered with sage brush, juniper and oak brush - also
known as "Elk Heaven." Approximately 400-plus acres are
cultivated in winter wheat and
alfalfa. There is a primitive cabin located near the center
of the property, as well as a newly remodeled house for a group of six
hunters. We can easily accommodate up to 12 hunters at one time on
this ranch. A meat house, game pole and corral are available for your
use as well.
